AKASHI WHITE OAK WHISKY

A Japanese blended whisky that has been the subject of some controversy. The bottling for the home market in Japan is made with malt whisky and molasses spirit, which would not be classed as 'whisky' in the EU. This export version, however, is made from malt and grain whiskies. FOC 1 WHISKY GLASS

REKI BLENDED MALT JAPANESE WHISKY

Fruity, nuanced smoky flavor with dish character, hints of dried apricots, orange, heather honey, licorice root, herbs and vanilla. Served at room temperature.

KAMIKI BLENDED MALT JAPANESE WHISKY 50CL

Nose: Fragrant citrus blossom and baked apple, with a hint of balsa wood and dry peat. Palate: Floral notes remain at the fore, with touches of forest floor, apricot and kumquat developing in the background. Finish: Slightly peppery, earthy vanilla pod and a whiff of pine.

SHINOBU 15YO PURE MALT WHISKY MIZUNARA OAK FINISH

Nose: Honeyed malt and blueberry muffin, with hints of tobacco and fresh espresso. Palate: Crisp notes of lemon and apple lead into baking spice warmth, with oily malt in support. Finish: Candied ginger and wood spice alongside orchard fruit.

SHINOBU 10YO PURE MALT WHISKY MIZUNARA OAK FINISH

Nose: Oaky vanilla, sandalwood and lemon blossom alongside zesty peels. Palate: Earthy oak and milky coffee, with orange chocolate and vanilla pod. Finish: A full, oaky finish with hints of stone fruit.

SHINOBU PURE MALT WHISKY MIZUNARA OAK FINISH

Nose: Stewed stone fruit and red berries, with creamy oak and mint white chocolate. Palate: Lemon curd and citrus peel lead into oak char, chai spices and floral oak. Finish: Toasty oak and underripe red fruit linger.

SUNTORY KAKUBIN JAPANESE WHISKY

Nose: Big scoops of fresh cereals and honeycomb ice cream. Light spiciness to it. Palate: More honey, now with the addition of citrus peels, peppercorn and cinnamon. Finish: More honey'd barley.

KAICHO RESERVE JAPANESE PURE MALT WHISKY

Subtly smokey and Oaky, touch of vanilla and moderate sweet aroma like fruits.Smooth but gentle. Deep and mellow taste are found after the charming entrance."

TENJAKU JAPAN WHISKY

“Color” Clear amber “Nose” Faint smoky accent. Sweet aroma, redolent of pear and dried fruit. “Palate” A slightly edgy attack. Well-rounded and mellow. “Finish” Slightly spicy. A long finish with a hint of white oak and a spreading sweetness.
