The Chateau des Laurets vineyard covers 95 contiguous hectares which straddle two AOC districts: Puisseguin-Saint-Emilion and Montagne-Saint-Émilion. Baron Benjamin de Rothschild acquired this splendid estate in 2003 with the intention of realising its full potential. Renovations to the vat room began in spring 2004 to offer this wine modern, high-performance facilities. This excellent clay-limestone terroir gives the Merlot of Saint-Émilion its full power and typicality.
